The Boarders impress at their Music Concert
We were treated to a delightful afternoon concert with the boarders today.
We had our usual extended range of instruments and some extremely polished performances. Boarders' concerts are very special as the children see their parents for the first time, in quite some time, from the stage as they showcase what they have been working towards for half a term.
It’s wonderful to see such a range of instruments; trumpet, piano, voice, flute, violin, saxophone, cello and guitar. We had some wonderful repertoire choices as well from Mendelssohn to African folk, Tchaikovsky to Wedgewood and Brahms to Armstrong Gibbs.
Many thanks to their teachers; Mrs Nolan-Stone, Mrs Gannon, Mrs Little, Mr Jones, Mrs Moore, Mr Marquiss, Mrs Honey and Mr Serna for all their hard-work in helping the children prepare for such a special concert. I wish all our lovely musicians and their families a wonderful half term!
