Year 7 pupils have been exploring the American War of Independence

This term Year 7 pupils have been exploring the American War of Independence.

To help understand what the US colonists would eventually win, the children grabbed some muskets and went outside for some army drills. They learnt how the British army would fight in line and use volley fire to destroy the opposing army. We then acted out the irregular warfare tactics undertaken by the US colonists, who used the terrain better for protection.

Great fun was had by all!
