A day to remember for the ballet pupils with Ballet Cymru
It was an absolute treat to have so much ballet squeezed into one day. Ballet Cymru, a group of professional and semi professional dancers, came into Hazlegrove to spend the morning with our Grade 3 and 4’s.
Our girls looked beautiful in their RAD uniforms and enjoyed training, learning choreography and watching the dancers in the dance studio and theatre.
The company commented on how lovely our pupils were to work with and how impressed they were with how quickly they learnt the choreography, which was from the ballet show they were performing that night.
We then took a number of the girls to The Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton to watch the Company’s production:
'A Child’s Christmas, Poems and Tiger Eggs' by Dylan Thomas.
The poems were narrated by Cerys Matthews, who also helped write the music. It was a stunning production, and the girls, as tired as they were, were all very sad when the curtain fell and it was time to go home.
All in all, a simply magical day that we will remember forever.
Mrs Arnold.
