Hazlegrove was full of colour on International Languages Day
This year Languages Day had a truly international flavour, representing all countries from around the globe.
The children had lots of fun creating posters for the day, trying out new languages in their lessons and racing to complete a linguistic scavenger hunt. We had a flash mob of African drumming, and another of languages that we speak as a school, from Japanese to Jamaican and from Spanish to Swahili.
In Assembly, Mr Edwards amused us all with some very long German words! It's been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the different nationalities and languages we have in our school, through music, singing and linguistic activities. The children looked fabulous in their array of colourful costumes and embraced the day with energy and enthusiasm, all in aid of a great cause, Wharf Kids.
