Two fabulous evenings of music...

Last week, we were treated to two fabulous evenings of music with the Spring Concerts which are a celebration of all our choirs, bands and other musical ensembles at Hazlegrove.

For parents who have only experienced school music here at Hazlegrove, it would be easy to assume that this quality of music is the “norm” for a prep school, but far from it. Those with wider experience were clearly in agreement with the Headmaster as he applauded the outstanding achievements of all the children concerned. It is not just the number of different groups nor just the breadth of repertoire that is impressive but the sheer musicality of the performances and the evident enjoyment of so many children taking part.

The children could not achieve these levels without the passion and dedication of the peripatetic music staff; the inspirational leadership of Director of Music, Yvonne Fawbert, and of course many hours of practice!
