LAMDA Summer Term Exam Results Impress

58 distinctions, 18 merits and two passes were achieved in the LAMDA Summer Term examinations.

Pupils from Year 2 upwards took LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) exams which aim to provide skills and confidence to succeed in life. Four categories (Public Speaking, Solo Acting, Duo Devised and Verse & Prose) were entered by 78 children with brilliant results.

Speech and Drama Teacher, Miss de la Poer was pleased to report an excellent set of results and further explains ‘duo and solo LAMDA examinations at Grade 4 and 5 are the same ability level as a GCSE (A*-C).’ Therefore, the Grade 5 Distinctions achieved by Isabella F (82%), Lucy S (82%), Emily R (81%) and Flora S (81%) in the Duo Devised category are most notable.
