A Warm Welcome to our new Drama Teacher Miss Proctor!

My name is Katie Proctor, and I am the new Drama teacher here at Hazlegrove.

I started in the Summer term and I am currently also writing my dissertation. I was fortunate enough to go to Kings School Bruton and in 2020 I was Head Girl. I got myself involved in anything Drama, Music, and Sports related and I loved being involved with the community.

I have always loved Drama and performing, and I am so lucky to be a part of this school. I have been at Sussex university for three years getting my degree in Performing Art and Music Management. After that I planned to go into teaching either doing a PGCE or straight into a school environment. I was thrilled to have found Hazlegrove and to in such a thriving school.

This term I have begun rehearsals for the Year 5 play, which I am very excited about. We are doing the Brothers Grimm tales and the pupils and I are having so much fun putting all the stories together. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
