The Music Scholars' Soirée was a joyous way to spend a simply, splendid evening!
We were fortunate enough to have two concerts on Friday 11 May, and our second was a Music Scholars' Soirée.
We had eleven performers (scholars), most of whom played pieces on their first and second study instruments. The breadth and depth was particularly striking as well as the clear mastery of their instruments.
Canapés, Champagne and strawberries were served as proud parents, grandparents and extended family members of the Scholars celebrated the success of their talented young performers.
As if that wasn't enough... The scholars then leaped up at the end of the concert and sang the American Rock Song,"Don't Stop Believing". Something they had prepared as a surprise for us all and a joyous way to end a simply, splendid evening!
Miss Sayles.
