Journey's End film producer, Guy de Beaujeu told Year 5 about WW1

Year 5 had a real treat yesterday! Hazlegrove warmly welcomed Guy de Beaujeu, the film producer, who came to talk to Year 5 about making his film ‘Journey’s End’, which is currently in cinemas. 

Year 5 have been studying World War One in both their English and History lessons.The children were hanging onto every word, from how he had to manage different elements within the making of such a film, to how harrowing life was in the trenches. They couldn’t wait to get their hands on the trinkets Guy brought with him, from the film script to samples of the props used by the actors in the film.

It was a delight to see such passion and enthusiasm on show and the pupils gained a great insight to both World War One and how to produce a film.
