In the LSU, the children have been making wooden nesting boxes for birds.
The children read classic bird poems and then devised their own poem about a species of bird. They copied these onto the bird boxes, which they put together outside the LSU room. The boxes were then hung in the garden outside the LSU classrooms, where we hope to see lots of birds take up residence.
The boxes followed the RSPB guide-lines to "Make a Nestbox".
