A lovely Carol Service at Wells Cathedral
We are very fortunate to have such a magnificent setting as Wells Cathedral for our Carol Service where children, staff, parents, family and friends gathered together and enjoyed a traditional service of lessons and carols.
It was lovely to hear all the different choirs from the youngest children in the Pre-Prep singing Away in a Manger to the senior choir, the Hazlegrove voices, singing Joy to the World. There were fantastic performances from the instrumentalists and soloists and those reading lessons did a fabulous job too reading with great clarity and confidence. The address was kindly delivered by Reverend Nigel Wilson-Brown, the chaplain of King's Bruton, and focused on the first reading on Genesis 3: 1-7 - whilst the message was of course serious he had the congregation chuckling as usual.
It was a wonderful way to finish the term and to wish everybody a Happy Christmas!
Photos were not allowed during the service but we did manage to take a few during the rehearsal time...
