A round-up...
Rugby
It has been a very enjoyable term with all of the boys developing a real passion for the game. The season finished on a real high last Saturday with some very close an very exciting matches against Farleigh.

Hockey
We were very proud of our U11c team who won the recent Millfield tournament...
...and the U9a and U9b teams who both finished third in the Hazlegrove tournaments.
The Year 3’s had a lovely end to their first season of hockey with a great indoor festival on Saturday.
Finally, congratulations to Eloise T, Kai S, Tara M, Anna E and Lily I who have all been selected to play in the Somerset Prep School’s team.

Swimming
This term has been an exciting term in the pool with all children enjoying their weekly swimming lessons. A highlight of the term was the visit of Cameron Kurle – a GB swimmer that competed at the Rio Olympics.
Biathlon
Congratulations to the 10 Hazlegrove children who competed at the National Biathlon Finals in Solihull over the exeat. Well done to Anya E who finished an incredible 6th individually.
We have heard this week that 24 children have qualified for the Schools Finals at Crystal Palace during the Easter holidays - a fantastic achievement.
Cross Country
Twenty Hazlegrove children competed in the Yeovil Area District Trials at KSB last week. We were delighted that all of the children ran so well and we had three winners:
- Alice d P – Year 7 Girls
- Jake F – Year 7 Boys
- Fred F – Year 8/9 Boys
Park Run
The Hazlegrove Park Run continues to be a popular lunchtime activity for those who want to keep fit. 82 different children (Year 3-8) have taken part so far this term. This year we have created various attendance milestones (15, 30, 40, 50) for those that complete the 2km run. Well done to the following who have all gained their ‘15’ milestone: CJ R, Caleb S, Josh C, Tom A-H, Anya E, George M, Casper S, Rose A, Max S, Otis S, Wolfie S and Josh S.
It is never to late to come along and join in the running fun.
Riding
At our most recent outing we had a very successful day at King Sedgemoor Equestrian centre with our riders featuring in a number of the classes.
- Class 1 – Imogen S and George W (team 3rd)
- Class 2 – Emily W and Josh C (team 2nd) and Josh 1st individually and Emily 3rd
