Year 6 enjoy an afternoon of creative French art

On Wednesday evening, the majority of year 6s took part in the optional 'French Creative Art' afternoon.  The task they were set was to build some famous French buildings with Art straws.

Eight groups worked very hard for an hour and half to build their favourite famous French monument. With glue guns, blue tack and sellotape, they happily made wonderful monuments out of straws.  They also had time to enjoy some hot chocolate and a pain au chocolat!

The winners of the competiton were:

3rd place: Team "The French moustache" - Bella F, Phoebe L and Ella C with La Pyramide du Louvre

2nd place: Team "Chocolat chaud" - Daisy P, Honor B-G, Lucy S and Kitty S with La Maison Carrée de Nîmes

1st place: Team "Rose bonbon" -Sam H, Thea G, Sophia A and Rose C with La Tour Eiffel
