Year 4 trip to Stonehenge

Thankfully the sun shone on the Stonehenge stones and we had a wonderful morning thinking about the mystery surrounding them.

The children produced beautiful pencil sketches while Mrs Sharp took each class round the perimeter, discussing why the stones are there and how they may have been manoeuvred into place. They asked lots of intelligent questions and their enthusiasm and knowledge was very impressive.

This was a truly cross curricular visit, linking to work on forces in Science and environmental issues in Geography, as well as History as we stepped back in time even further than the Ancient Egyptians.
