King's and Hazlegrove joint choral concert confirms strength of choral singing at both schools
Hazlegrove was delighted to play host to King's Bruton for the joint school's choral concert, welcoming many familiar faces back as well as some new ones.
There were fantastic performances from the choirs of both schools during the concert which included a wide range of material from Mendelssohn's 'I Waited for the Lord' with a soprano solo duet and 'Oculi Omnium' by Hewitt-Jones to the more light-hearted arrangements of 'The Way You Look Tonight' and 'California Dreamin''.
The concert concluded with a rousing performance of ‘Rhythm of Life’ from Sweet Charity, performed by the King’s and Hazlegrove massed forces of well over one hundred voices.
A fantastic time was had by all and it is great to have such a strong tradition of choral singing at both schools.
