Rocket Science for Year 5
Year 5 have launched themselves into the exciting Rocket Science experiment. They have planted two lots of rocket seeds: one of which has been orbiting Earth on the International Space Station with British astronaut Tim Peake and the other which has remained on planet Earth!
The children will be taking measurements, making observations and recording our data over the next 35 days. At the end of this nationwide experiment Tim Peake will reveal which seeds have been in Space – will it be the ones in the blue packet or the red?
The study will help find ways to grow food in space which will be essential if humans travel to distant planets.
