Year 6 create some wonderful geometric art
Year 6 have been learning to use the graphic design programme 'InkScape' in recent weeks, in order to create some wonderful geometric art. Inspired by British artist Bridget Riley, children first drew repeating polygons and arranged them in a tessellation.
The vector graphics program enabled children to work with different layers, and stack shapes on top of each other to give a range of effects. Filters were then applied to add a glaze or manipulate the texture.
I'm sure you'll agree these works of art look sensational and could grace the walls of any modern art gallery.
