Year 7 art workshop at King's Bruton
This was a very exciting and successful day, taking place within King’s Bruton’s Art Studio. The children had the opportunity to work with an artist: Hiro Takahashi, who demonstrated many new techniques and skills for them to experiment with.
Each pupil made a creatively and individually designed pot out of clay, using underglazes and decorative slips. Most exciting of all, this was a fantastic chance to think outside of their artistic comfort zone and produce something never tried before!
Many thanks to Wayne Spilsbury and his team for organizing and running the day as well as to the children who were commendably polite, enthusiastic and creative.
