Friends, Romans, Countrymen - Year 3 were all ears at New Barn
What a fun packed, informative day the Year 3 children had when they visited New Barn in Dorset.
Despite the foggy, grey skies the children eagerly stepped back in time and were met by a real life Roman soldier named Maximus Davidus! The children learnt more about the Roman invasion and how tough life was for the Celts. They enjoyed grinding corn for their bread, writing on wax tablets and churning milk to make butter!
They learnt such a lot and returned to school desperate to learn more about the Roman invasion of Britain!
