Year 3 make Santa detecting chimes and other recent DT projects
The children have been busy in the DT room in the run up to the end of term...
Year 3 have been making special Santa chimes so that they will be able to hear Father Christmas coming...
...Year 4 have been modelling clay to make the body of a vehicle and will vacuum form plastic around them when they have dried out. They have been high-temperature sublimation printing their own designs onto the plastic ready for forming...
...and Year 6 have been using the new Hegnar saws to make multi-layered Christmas candle holders, looking at different types of timber and comparing colour and smell and how easy they were to cut and finish and the amount of dust they created when working with each one.
They will look festive at home when they are finished!
