Friends' Art, Wine and Cheese

Last Friday, the Friends’ of Hazlegrove hosted a wonderful Art Exhibition and Wine Tasting Evening in the Fitzjames Building.

A diverse range of artists and sculptors exhibited including Hazlegrove children, parents, staff and local artists connected to the school. More than 40 pieces were sold with a contribution of proceeds going towards the Hazlegrove Art Department.

There was a selection of delicious wines on tap kindly provided by Camilla Wood of the Somerset Wine Company who was on hand to educate us about them and their origins including some local Somerset rosé. Various cheeses were also available in abundance, most of which were generously provided by parents. 

With Stephen Marquiss playing beautiful, melodic piano pieces as guests arrived and throughout the evening, the whole occasion was a huge success and one that we hope will become an annual event.
