Sport Relief Run
Thank you to everyone who turned out to run for Sport Relief Mile - a superb turnout and a fitting end to the Festival of Wellbeing. We raised a magnificent £838.20.
Hockey
Congratulations to the 1st VII hockey team that played so well at the National IAPS Finals. Narrowly losing out in the quarter finals on penalty shuffles.

IAPS Boys Judo - Hazlegrove has a National Champion
Congratulations to Joe C who won all of his ‘fights’ at the recent IAPS Judo and became National Champion. Also to Freddie H-H who took the bronze medal in his category.
National Schools Biathlon
Hazlegrove enjoyed much success at the National Schools Biathlon at Crystal Palace at the weekend. 33 children competed in the event that took place in some horrid weather conditions. The girls competed on Saturday and the boys on Sunday. Over the course of the weekend over 2000 children competed in the Biathlon - swim and run.
All of the Hazlegrove athletes performed brilliantly and we won the following team trophies:
U11 Boys - 1st - Hal S, Grey S, Charlie G
U12 Girls - 2nd - Carina H, Imogen W, Skye F
U14 Boys - 3rd - Josh S, Jake F, Josh M
U13 Boys - 5th - Angus E, Josh C, Philip M
U10 Girls - 6th - Cecily R, Clarendon H T, Isabelle H
Well done to all - a superb experience and certainly a weekend to remember!

English Schools Cross Country
Two Year 8 children, Jake F and Alice de P competed on Saturday at the prestigious English Schools National Cross Country Event in Leeds. Despite the mixed weather - sunshine, sleet, snow and bitterly cold winds they both performed superbly. Each race has over 350 competitors - the best 8 children from each county in the UK. It is a really tough event and the racing is of a very serious standard with international vests at stake for the top eight finishers. Alice finished 270th having taken a nasty fall on one of the very muddy corners, she showed superb resilience to get up and keep going. Jake finished a brilliant 169th.
