Stunning new facilities for the Art and DT departments

Stunning new facilities for the Art and DT departments allow the children huge opportunities for development in these subjects.

The introduction of the design suite of computers for DT has enabled us to bring our DT curriculum in line with current good practice and allow children to integrate computer-aided-designing and manufacturing, which is an integral element of DT.

Working flexibly across the 2 areas allows an interactive approach to the process of designing and making. This is a new way of working for children at Hazlegrove and help to encourage independent thinking and problem solving.

The new extension has allowed the Art room to become a bright, spacious environment with that crucial natural lighting and beautiful landscape views: ideal for observing and painting.
