Food Glorious Food

Food Technology has arrived at Hazlegrove with aplomb!  The pupils are busy weighing and measuring, forming and shaping to create their masterpieces from our fabulous new facilities. 

Year 5 are getting their hands dirty, creating a range of sweet and savoury party foods.  Year 6 are busy investigating food from around the world and Year 7 are not only increasing their culinary skill base, but also developing their own nutritious breakfast. 

Cooking is such an important and essential life skill, bringing together so many different aspects of the broader curriculum from Maths, English and Geography, to name but a few.  Our children are also learning about the importance of making those all-important healthy eating choices whilst embracing the importance of sharing the nourishing food we create with our friends and family.
