Sports news round-up at the end of term
Children have again enjoyed some fabulous success in all sports during the last weeks of term...
Biathlon
Fourteen Hazlegrove children competed at Crystal Palace last weekend in the National Schools Finals. In total six children and Mrs Evans all gained top 20 places (in most classes there were around 180 competitors). We were thrilled that our Under 10 girls' team finished 2nd overall and Anya E came 6th individually. Well done indeed.
Judo
Congratulations to the Hazlegrove competitors who travelled to the recent IAPS tournament. A huge well done to Ben W who won gold in the U50kg category.
Hockey
It was a fitting end to a very successful hockey term for the boys that our Under 9a and Under 9b teams did so well at the recent Millfield tournaments. The B team winning their tournament and the A team finishing as runners up. Congratulations to Monty, Samuel and Daniel who all recently played for Somerset in the South West tournament in Bristol.

Netball
The season finished on a real high with all of our girls from Year 5 to 8 playing in matches against Taunton School. Of the sixteen matches we played we won thirteen.
Cross Country
To have won four fastest lap medals at the Clayesmore relays is something that we are very proud of. Well done to Sam, Harriet, Kai and Carlos.
At the National Prep schools Cross Country championships at Malvern College, Hazlegrove had teams in all four categories, all acquitting themselves well in some very strong and competitive fields.
