A perfect day for Year 1 to visit Stourhead
Year 1 had the most perfect spring day for their trip to Stourhead.
In the morning they visited the church as part of their R.E. work and learnt about its history. They discovered some of the special features of this beautiful building and were very happy to spend time sketching them.
After lunch they followed the paths and walked all the way round the lake, looking for signs of spring and enjoying all the beautiful sights along the way. They made a collection of natural things along their journey, admired the plants and trees, explored the Grotto, and finally climbed up the hill through the Rock Arch to find the Temple of Apollo and a truly wonderful view!
