Cycling at Haynes Motor Museum raises £400 for Harambee
Me, Tom P, Tom M, Elliot S, Freya S, Bethany L and my younger sister Jemima all did a sponsored bike ride around the Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford. Together we did around 900 laps of the track, raised about £400 and achieved it in 6 hours. It was a relay and all the time people were cycling.
I first contacted Mr Haynes in October, asking for permission. He said it was fine by him so I arranged a date with his secretary. Most people did over 2 hours but as I organised it I decided to do 5 of the 6 hours. I did 175 laps of the circuit and went about 60 kilometres.
We all had great fun and ended up feeling proud and like we achieved something.
