Molly's sponsored silence for Harambee
My sponsored silence, Monday 9th March.
I woke up on Monday and realised it was the day I was going to do my sponsored silence. I had planned to be silent from 7am until 7pm, so a whole 12 hours. It was very hard because it was a school day but I did take a little pad around with me so I could write things down and answer questions. During the day, I had a Speech and Drama lesson but all I could do was act out poems which actually was quite good. At the end of the day, when it was one minute to 7pm, my family and I stared at the clock and when it turned 7 o’clock I was so happy to speak again.
Overall, I raised £240, and it is all going towards the Harambee Project, where we help children go to school and pay for their books. I feel very proud of myself for completing a challenging task for a great charity.
