Desert Islands Books Assembly to start the Festival

Our Festival of Literature 2015 was launched this morning at Assembly. Mr Edwards hosted "Desert Island Books" where staff members brought along the book they had chosen to take with them to a Desert Island.  The books they had chosen were as follows:

Mr Barnes  - A Short history of Everything by Bill Bryson
Mrs Sharp - Street Child by Berlie Doherty
Mr Birch - Bushcraft by Ray Mears
Mrs Bartlett - Danny Champion of the World by Roald Dahl
Mr Shaw - Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Mrs Hughes - Now We Are Six by A A Milne
Mr Illingworth - Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit by PG Wodehouse
Mr Floyd - A Fine Balance by Rohan Mistry
Mr Edwards - The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy

This was a great variety of inspiring choices, and a good start to the Festival.
