Samurai author Chris Bradford pays Karate Club a visit

A Samurai Sword demonstration is not the usual sort of event you expect to take place during a Festival of Literature but Samurai author Chris Bradford did just that, wowing the Karate Club in the process!  

You could have heard a pin drop as Chris unsheathed the sword and showed some defensive movements - all the children loved his display. He showed them defensive techniques and told them how to avoid situations where there might be trouble.

Every single child learnt lots in the hour long session about discipline, respect, power and stance. It was a really good informative session, and we thank Chris most heartily for giving our Karate Club the opportunity to meet him and see him in action.
