Athletics

Congratulations to the twenty four athletes who qualified for thirty events at the National Prep Schools Finals, following a hugely successful South West Championships. At the South West’s we had 35 podium finishes, including nineteen gold medals. The National Finals are a very prestigious event, held at the Alexander Stadium and we were thrilled that all of our athletes competed so well. A special mention must go to Oliver L for his fabulous 3^rd place in the 1500m.

Congratulations to the Year 5 team that won the Kings Bruton Festival – a superb achievement.

Sports Day was a lovely occasion and it was so great to see all of the children competing so well. Tremlett were the overall winners for 2018.

Biathlon

Well done to the 62 Hazlegrove children from Years 2-8 that competed at the National Schools Biathle Finals. Both Skye F and Jake F were crowned National Champions, as well as five Hazlegrove teams winning overall – Year 3 girls, Year 4 boys, Year 5 boys, Year 6 girls and Year 8 boys.

Good luck to the five children competing at the European Biathle/Triathle Championships in Germany in two weeks’ time.

Mothers and Fathers rounders and cricket matches

2018 will go down as a special year; the Year 8 children and their parents thoroughly enjoyed this special occasion. Both the rounders and cricket matches were all very close and had very exciting finishes. It is always a fitting sporting way to end the term.
