Sports roundup for the Exeat 26 January 2018
We have many congratulations to offer this term so far.
Congratulations to the 8 children - Lara R, Carina H, Josh C, Philip M, Joseph P, Tom A-H, Alice de P and Jake F for being selected to represent Somerset at the South West Schools Cross Country Championships next Saturday.
To Arthur N for being selected for the Yeovil Town Football Academy and also the ISFA (Independent Schools Football) South West Team.
To Josh S, Josh C, Ludo C and Ottilie S for their Somerset Cricket Selection.
To the 31 children who have qualified for the National Schools Biathlon Finals in March.
Swimming
The swimming team who competed last week at the Regional IAPS Qualifiers at Monkton deserve a special mention - they all performed brilliantly and it was great to see all the training paying off so much. We now have to wait to hear if any of our swimmers have qualified for the National IAPS Finals at the Olympic Park in June.
Riding
Well done to our school riders who secured a great team win at the NSEA Eventers recently; we now have two teams and an individual through to the National Eventers Finals at Hickstead in May.
Hockey
Congratulations to the U11 boys who finished as Runners Up at the Sherborne Tournament last week - narrowly losing out on penalty shuffles in the final. They have their IAPS Regional round today - good luck.
Netball
Well done to the girls who have started the term so well. Congratulations to the U12 girls that finished in 3rd place at the Taunton School Tournament.
Congratulations to our Under 13 girls that won the Bowl section of the Bryanston Tournament.
