Pupils have been making a difference near and afar...
Hazlegrove Harambee
Hattie S wanted to raise money for Hazlegrove Harambee. She made lots of jars of chutney and baked cakes with her mummy which she sold at the Pre-Prep Fayre and up at the hut at sign out time. Hattie raised £292.00 for Harambee, a wonderful amount which will go a long way to supporting our two Kenyan children, Teresina and James, through their last year of secondary education.
Syrian Refugees
Amelia W and Catherine J wanted to help the Syrian refugees. They set up their own charity called Just Like Us with another friend, and did some busking at the sign out hut. They sang songs and played Scottish and Irish reels on the violin. There was a good turnout at the hut and they raised £72.11 which will go to the Samara Aid Appeal.
Great Ormond Street Hospital
Olivia N has the chance to ride in the Shetland Pony Grand National at The Olympia Horse Show later this month. To qualify she had to raise at least £600.00 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Olivia set to and washed cars, baked cakes, did sponsored bike rides and runs. She also got sponsorship from Paul Nicholls Racing and Brown & Daughters. All in all Olivia raised over £1300.00 for GOSH and is now looking forward to competing at Olympia.
