A defining moment as the Hazlegrove children vote YES to Meat Free Monday

Following on from points raised during EarthWyz, our Festival of Sustainability, we promised the children that we would give them the choice whether we should have a meat free day once a week. After two weeks of having a meat free Monday, we gave the children a free and fair vote.
The result of the ballot regarding the possible continuation of meat free Monday is as follows:
In Favour of Continuing: 78%
Against: 22%
We will now consult with the boarding community to ask them whether they wish this to apply to the whole day or just to lunch.
Next we are moving on to calculating how much single use plastic we throw away as a school community.
