8S entertain the residents at St Margaret's Hospice
As one of our post exam challenges, 8 S were given one week to organise a concert for the residents of St Margaret's Hospice. As soon as we began to put together a programme, there were tons of ideas and we ended up with a huge variety of pieces, from Shakespearian monologues to saxophone solos and even a Monty Python sketch.
Rehearsals took place in lessons, and slowly but surely the concert began to come together, despite a few technical difficulties! On the day of the show, everything went very well, with great performances given by everyone. One of the highlights of the concert was a ukulele performance from the whole of 8S, which had been one of our earlier challenges.
The concert was well-received by the residents and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
