There was much “Huffing and Puffing” in Year 1 this week as the children retold the traditional tale of “ The Three Little Pigs” using story maps, puppets and actions. They loved describing the wolf using their brilliant adjectives and forming some truly wonderful sentences. In maths, the children learnt to apply their adding and taking away 10’s using different equipment such as number lines and problem solving using their skills. Our lino print houses look incredible as we learn to mark out the pictures in the lino and use ink to print! A messy but fun activity. The highlight of our week was watching Year 6’s incredible performance of “The Lion King”. The children were truly inspired by the singing, acting, costumes and dancing. They gave the performance 100 out of 10 and described it as “out of this world” and “the most amazing thing they have ever seen”. They can’t wait to do a musical in Year 6 too!
