Pre-School Get to Know the Owl Babies

Pre-Prep PrePrep

This week we have been using the story “Owl Babies” to think about our families and who we love.

We have used mixed media to create our own owlets; we carefully counted out two eyes, feet and feathers for wings which we glued onto our owls. Everyone has been super creative using the dough with a range of objects to create some owl families along with other woodland creatures. Our word of the week has been ‘nocturnal’, which we have been learning to say and understand what it means.

We have been on some adventures to the outdoor classroom for toast and jam, raced each other on the bikes, visited the bunnies and played with the parachute in the Autumn sunshine.

Finally, we have been strengthening our fine motor skills using cheerios which we threaded onto string to make bird feeders to hang in the trees.
