Christmas Has Arrived in Reception

What makes Christmas so magical?

This was the question posed to the Reception children this week as they wrote some notes to a hibernating bear, telling him why he should wake up for Christmas. Spending time with family, eating lots of yummy food and of course presents featured highly on the list! The Christmas Post office role play has been a hive of activity all week with the children writing cards, addressing envelopes and using their number skills to weigh parcels, calculate postage and pay for stamps.

On Wednesday we were visited by Dentist Tara and Nurse Stephanie who told the children how to look after their teeth. It was a super experience for the children, and they especially enjoyed cleaning the giant teeth and dressing up as ‘real’ dentists.  We have all promised to remember to clean our teeth for two minutes and to not miss the ones at the back!
