Year 6 Prepare For Their 'Spoken Word' Poetry Topic and Their Upcoming Poetry Slam

Year 6 are preparing for their 'Spoken Word' poetry topic and their upcoming poetry slam by watching lots of great examples.

The class giggled their way through 'Talking Turkeys' by Benjamin Zephaniah and loved the rap style of Prince EA. They will base their own work on the 2021 inauguration poem by Amanda Gorman, studying her performance and technique to write their own spoken word poem about a topic close to their heart.
