Dragons to Abstract Expressionism we’ve seen it all in Art this term!

This term in Art at Hazlegrove, the children have let creativity run wild, producing a wide selection of work, from dragon eggs to abstract expressionism.

Year 3 have spent the term exploring colour through the work of Sonia Delaunay and Ton Schulten to Year 6, who have been creating both sculpture and painting inspired by the work of Kandinsky. Colour has been the main focus for most year groups this term.

YEAR 8 have created original works of art based on famous paintings. The choice of artists chosen ranged from Van Gogh to Banksy. The resulting paintings fused some most unlikely partners to create some truly unique paintings.

Junior Art Club have had external recognition this term with Eva Q gaining a commendation in the Badminton School Art Competition.
