A fun-filled afternoon of science for Year 6 at King's Bruton
Year 6 had another fun-filled afternoon for our annual Science trip to King's Bruton. The children had a wonderful opportunity to get stuck in with lots of hands-on learning for each strand of Science.
In the Chemistry lab, the children donned their lab coats and goggles to mix together different substances to create their own slime and sherbet; a real treat for the end of the school day! In Physics, they were set the challenge of creating the tallest building possible out of paper, string and straws. Finally, their senses were really put to the test in the Biology lab, where they had to use them to decide what they could hear, touch, smell and taste.
Lots of fun was most certainly had by all; even Mr Farquhar and Mr Head returned with their very own lolly and sherbet! Thank you, once again, to King's for organising such a great event.
